DOLPO
TREKKING

This itinerary is for those who know Nepal,
want to visit a remote area such as the Dolpo
region, but do not have enough spare dates
for a complete trekking tour. For this reason,
we shall get there from the small airport
of Juphal, which is in the south of the Dolpo
district. The Shey-Phokdumdo National Park
and the Tarap Valley are undoubtedly the most
attractive ingredients of the route and are
enough in themselves to justify this trekking
tour. The isolation of these towns, caused
by the high hills that separate the valleys
from each other, means that the authenticity
of its inhabitants has remained practically
untouched and far from any foreign influence.
