One of the most popular and a short trek
through the southern part of the Annapurna
massif so that the traveler can get an idea
of what the country is like. Starting out
from Pokhara, the second most important city
in the country, we go through a series of
attractive forests and head for the high point
of the trek, Poon Hill, an excellent sunrise
viewing point for Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna
and Machhapuchare. The trek takes us close
to the mountain and the inhabitants of the
area.
