This trip is recommended for visitors who
are unable to go on a two week trek. On this
route, which begins in Pokhara and follows
the course of the Kali Gandaki river, we will
be travelling through one of Nepal's veteran
trekking areas. In only eight days we will
first have the chance to visit the famous
Poon Hill viewing point, with views of Annapurna
and Dhaulagiri, not forgetting Machhapuchre;
and the lovely villages of Birethanti, Tatopani,
Tukuche, and Marpha. We will enjoy the hospitality
and friendliness of the Thakali people. We
will go until Kagbeni, the gate of the kingdom
of Mustang. And from there it is one day's
journey to the wonderful Muktinath shrine,
visited by both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrims.
The journey finishes in Jomsom, where a light
plane will take us back to Pokhara, start
and end point of this classic route.
