TSEDANG - SHIGATSE - LHASA OR V.V

DAY-01: KATHMANDU - LHASA -TSEDANG 3450 m

Arrive Gonggar airport - Lhasa.On arrival meet, assist and transfer to Hotel in TSEDANG ( 2 hours ).

Rest of the day at leisure for acclimatisation.

DAY-02 : TSEDANG SIGHTSEEING

Begin your day with sightseeing tour of Yambulakhang Monastery, Thandruk Monastery and Tombs of Tibetan Kings.

DAY-03 : TSEDANG - GYANTSE - approx. 3800 M

Today you drive to Gyantse Via Yamdrok Lake. En-route we will also visit the great Samye Monastery. It is a journey of 265 kms including crossing of 2 high passes Kamba-La (15724ft) and Karo-La (16432ft).

DAY-04 : GYANTSE - SHIGATSE - 3900M
Visit Phalkor Chode & Khumbu Stupa in Gyantse and drive 2 hours to Shigatse, the second largest city in Tibet. In Shigatse you will visit Tashilumpo Monastery and the market. The monastery is the seat of Panchen Lama which was founded by the 1st Dalai Lama in 1447 AD.

DAY-05 : SHIGATSE - LHASA
Today we drive to Lhasa from Shigatse. En route we cross Karo- La, which provides the spectacular view of the Gyantse valley. On the way, we also cross Kamba-La pass and Yamdeok Lake. In Lhasa transfer to Hotel and free.

DAY-06-07 : SIGHTSEEING IN LHASA

You will be spending two full days in Lhasa visiting Potala Palace, Sera Monastery Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery, Barkhor Market and Norbulingka Summer Palace.

DAY-08 : LHASA - FINAL DEPARTURE
Early morning drive 2 hours to Gonggar airport to board the departure flight to your onward destination (Kathmandu, Chengdu, Beijing etc.)
